Venice - #YesWeCamp: We want Hamburg without G20

Action in solidarity with the camp evicted by the brutal police assault

5 / 7 / 2017

North-East Social Centers activists have protested in front of the German Consulate in Venice in the wake of the events occured in Hamburg few days ago. Activists blocked the entrance of the Consulate by installing camping. On Sunday German police disrupted a NoG20 activists' camp without any legal and legitimate justification beating up people and destroying objects. By standing by those who were injured and the activists organising the days of mobilization, North-East Social Centers declare that they will participate to the NoG20 mobilization in the next days; and that they want the right to protest and to assembly to be respected by authorities. No repression and prompted fear will prevent social movements from taking the streets of Hamburg and contending with the leaders of the world. Those leaders want people to be quiet and shut up because they are afraid of having lost consent. From tomorrow on they will discover that they have lost it long time ago.
