conclusions from the movements' assembly at "europe beyond europe"

29 / 5 / 2013

More than 200 people have participated the european assembly of movements at S.a.L.E Docks, in closure of the “Europe over Europe” meeting, promoted by Globalproject and European Alternatives.

200 people from Spain to France, from Italy to Greece, from Eastern Europe to Tunisia, shared the goal of building an European perspective on the tracks of that collective course that has brought us from Madrid to Frankfurt to Brussel, from the OCCUPY movements to Agorà to Blockupy.

It will bring us beyond the subjectivities that exist and fight in the territories, towards the something larger and able to compose diverse projects in broad coalitions.

The subject of this two-days, rich both in its theoretical inquiries from the first session and in its capacity to address the nodes, “dirty, contradictory but real of “hacking” the institutions in the second one, is the research of a constituent conflict.

In other terms, we are looking for a multilevel struggle against what we termed “eurocracy” and, at the same time, the building from below of an alternative within the european and mediterranean political space: living conflicts that have bodies, strenght and voices whereas the crisis and the financial capitalism beat.

We can be, and must be, the answer to the crisis, we can be the ones who claim income and environmental protection, commons and the right to independent information and communication, those who ground the european citizenship beyond the jus soli as the right to resist against the attack of the neoliberal constituent, those who invent a new right to the education mixed with auto-education, and reverse the situation of the precariousness in a new way of producing social wealth with a guaranteed income.

Many autonomous and self-organized experiences are now present in different territories. We don’t must start over, but we must start from the enormous endowment of social wealth and we must have the strenght, the intelligence and the ability of weaving them together because nobody is self-sufficient and we can’t enclose ourselves into isolated and tiny spaces.

In the definition of our Europe we must go beyond the geographical constraints, as well as beyond the constraints that the present exercises on our bravery, Definitively recognising that european is what with us, around us and beyond us speed-up the building of an insurgent citizenship.

We start from us to go beyond us without getting rid of ourselves.

We start from the blockade of the ECB on the morning of Friday 31 May in Frankfurt and from the blockades of the afternoon, we start from the heart of the beast, because Europe is our Europe and it is insurgent.

We start from the day of 1st June, of which the blockupy demonstration and the anti-capitalist block will be part.

We start from the great mobilization in Venice on the 7th, 8th and 9th of June against the “Big Ships” and the lack of democracy in the territories.

We start from the large meetings and from workshops at the AlterSummit where we will engage us to resume and continue this weaving.

Let's start with an astonishing number of cities in which the most diverse and rich mobilizations and conflicts will happen in the near future.

As our greeks comrades said: ”we don’t have time enough to wait”

See all of us in the new assemblies. See all of us on the barricades.
